Edgar Rodriguez Solis - Instructor

I am a devoted family man, educator, and lifelong creative with a deep love for the arts. Over the years, I have explored many artistic mediums, including illustration, painting, mixed media, clothing design, writing, and video editing. My latest creative pursuit, The Magic Taco Book, brings many of these passions together through storytelling, illustration, design, and imagination, web design.

As an educator, I hope to help students build a strong foundation in the fundamentals of art while encouraging them to discover their own creative voice. My goal is to create a classroom where students develop real artistic skills, gain confidence in their abilities, and ultimately create work that is uniquely their own.

I’m a very happy forest dweller living in the western Sierra Nevada mountains with my partner of 15 years, Jason, and our four cats. An archaeologist, a tech industry professional, an archaeologist (again!), and now: a business owner!

I’m looking forward to combining my love for the creative with my drive for operational excellence, and bringing CAC to the Fresno metropolitan area to not only encourage kids to express themselves, but also learn the skills to do it with confidence.

Always a fan of the obscure joke, I somehow wound up spending decades in the publishing/advertising business. Covid put an end to that so I am now a part-time accountant as well as a semi-full-time pickleball and tennis player.

I have always loved art and liked the fact that, with CAC, we will be making something and not just selling something. The opportunities to contribute to the community and enrich the life experiences of a variety of young people are also very attractive elements of the whole package.
